Replaced cam shaft sensor on 2005 ford taurus and still get code p0340. Possible fix distributor? According to AutoZone computer suggested parts.

This means the sensor isn't working. That can be caused by a bad connector or broken wire.
Check the connections to the camshaft sensor. don-ohio (:^)

Have a 1997 ford explorer with 4.0 sohc that died at stop and would not start. cranked but no start. error code was p0340. replaced crank sensor and started but died again in less than 2 minutes. still...

p0340 states: Cam Position Sensor A circuit (Bank 1, or single sensor)

p1318 : unknown code cannot find online or in my code reader definitions.

remember the code does not mean the part is bad just where to look for bad wires, connectors and to test for bad parts.

My 2002 Ford Explorer gave me code P1400. What does it mean

P1400 indicates the following:
Differential Pressure Feedback Electronic Sensor circuit Low Voltage

Most common cause is a bad DPFE sensor.

Have 2002 Ford Taurus SE and testing at auto zone brought up code P1400, can you tell me what this mean? Thank you, Shawna Hughes

That would be your DPFE sensor low voltage. This is the feedback sensor for the egr valve and it has exhaust gases running through it at basically all times. They have 2 different styles (plastic and aluminum) and they all fail eventually. The replacement should be plastic which typically lasts longer in my experience. It should be under $50 and fairly easy to replace. I recommend replacing the rubber hoses as well since they crack and will probably break during removal or soon after.

Can u tell me what the problem of this code PO340

I have a 1999 BMW 740 il My SES light came on so I hooked up my OBD code reader p0340 - Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction is what came up. so I went to the BMW parts department and bought the Camshaft Position Sensor.
I Replaced the with the new. My SES light was still on so I hooked up the OBD reader again hoping it may reset my SES light but it didn't what did happen is the OBD reader came up with the same code (p0340 - Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction) witch is what I just replaced. now I'm at a loss. I'm not sure how to reset my SES light and if I just replaced the Camshaft Position Sensor why dose it the OBD code p0340 still come up. Any suggestions?

98 Taurus P0340 code still present after replacing camshaft sensor and synchronizer. Car not starting all the time. I do not see the spark when car will not start. Then replaced the crank sensor. Still...

all ways turn the motor over a few times and recheck timing marks a slack belt can put it a tooth out, if the code is back it means the fault is still there, did they remove the code and test drive if so the fault is not fixed.

Wat does code p1400 means

In order to give you accurate information. I need size of engine example 2.0 L 3.0L. but code P1400 means Differential Pressure feedback EGR circuit low input. Maybe your differential oil is low.
