Question about 1989 Peugeot 405
I dissconnected the battery and refitted a new one the next day now the engine immobiliser key on the dash is on and the message on the display above the radio says "engine immobiliser fault". also my handheld dianostic code reader is getting a linking error any ideas please steve

did you try the spare key? are you sure it is an immobilizer light? what does the warning light look like, can you describe it? replacing the battery in the key will not help as it is not needed for the recognition of the key(this is done by an induced current).
