On 2006 saab conv trunk wont unlock using handle on trunk lid, works using remote and door button

Ng900 and og9-3 fuel door locks with all the doors, use the remote or central locking switch to unlock all the doors, fuel door should then open. If not then something is wrong, there is an emergency release behind the carpet in the trunk in that corner, look for the yellow tag on a wire.

If the WD-40 doesn't work ,view wiring diagrams an test the electrical circuit to the unlock solenoid in the trunk . if battery power is supplied to the solenoid when someone pushes the button the unlock solenoid needs to be replace , or bad ground . Also check for codes in the driver door module . Computer controlled by electronic control module.

You will need to try from the inside. Sometimes pushing the lid 'more' shut works too!

the wires in the trunk lid are broken. this model has poorly designed electrical. there is a wire bundle on the right hand side of the trunk lid open the bundle up and resplice the 4 wires. this will correct the doors and remote trunk opener.

Yes, insure that you have power to the trunk lock inside trunk, If not could be lose/broken wire or shot fuse. I am sure the key fob does work for the doors? If not have key fob battery replaced. Also, a quick check on power to trunk lock, check to see if have remote power button inside car, if it works power is good. Defective key fob would then be indicated.

hi,problem with remote key,you check the battery of the transmitter,fine,how about trying with spare key,or check fuse or send to dealer for proper diagnose,preventing wrong part replacement.

Does the key still pop the trunk/hatch? That would also indicate whether or not it was the key remote. If that function works it's probably nothing on the car (i.e. "receiver") end.
