Take the vehicle for a scan. I suspect there must have been a warning sign that was ignored.

Start with the cheapest part. The fuel filter. Even putting it in gear consumes more gas. A clogged filter will restrict the flow. Check for grounds. you should have a ground from the battery to the engine. From the battery to the body. and one from the engine to the body. This is just a start mind you. There are plenty of other things that could be wrong.

Chrysler sebring conv won't start, headlights flicker

The first thing you do is have the battery and the battery cables checked, it sounds like a dead battery to me. The battery is accessed through the drivers side front wheel well through an access panel. Remove the front left wheel first.

Engine quit when stopped at stop light. Acted as if it was choking then died. Tried restarting. Turns over strong, no start. Thought maybe no gas. Added gas after about 30 minutes. Started first try....

Sounds like the fuel pump is going out. Replace the filter first, as it's only $10. If that doesn't fix it, then it's probably the pump, which is $250.

I would check to be on the safe side the fuel filter is going in the right direction. The arrow is pointing towards the engine away from the fuel tank, Then you need to make sure the fuel pump wiring connections are good contact and did not come loose when driving.

94 toyotq celica gt wont start

I had a broken wire that runs the power from the battery to the fuse box under the hood in my 94 Celica. It had symptoms of a bad battery or alternator. I spliced the wire and haven't had any issue since then.
