Fix rough idle and stalling on 1986 S10 blazer.only keeps running if pumping gas pedal. was running good and all of a sudden started dying out.

I would start by changing the fuel filter. Run some injector cleaner through it. And check for more of those rotten lines. You can check by spraying a little starting fluid around the vacuum lines. Be careful though. Its flammable. But the engine should speed up if you have a leak.

My 1986 chevy s10 4x4 truck transfer case is not engaging and the lights for the 4x4 is not indicating anything.i changed the contral switch and nothing. anything else i could try?

I had a 1987 s10 4x4 and put a new battery in it and the 4x4 quit. turns out the vacuum control is right behind battery. listen for sucking sound and see if it is loose on yours.

Changed engine,starter out of allinement

I hope you still have the other starter .. If so compare them very close and see if there is a difference in them .. There is sometimes just enough difference in them that will cause this problem .. You will have to go back to the parts store and have them take them out of the box till you get the exact one that is for your engine.. Make sure both starters have same amount of teeth on the bendix .. This I believe is where the problem is .. thanks and holler if i can help more Jerry

Motor and trans exchange

Both engines were available in that jeep, but computer and harnesses need to be swapped as well. You may want to get a really good wiring diagram (not haynes) to check your attachment points and harness variations. Make sure you take everything you could possibly need from donor vehicle. (take more and throw away excess...easier than forgetting something.)
Good luck!!

Check to make sure what trans you have. Someone could've changed the trans to something different, or maybe they are giving you a chevy starter when you need a BOP starter.

1984 s10 2.8 manual trans. flywheel causes engine to vibrate

no should be same engine. check your engine mounts and tranny mount. how bad a vibration? sometimes after installing engine the trans gets shifted around and if mount was worn it will allow it to hit crossmeber and vibrate.
