How can I solve the oil pump problem on my Toyota camry.200l. It's lazy it takes about 5minutes to pump the oil

check for an air leak in the pick up tube for the pump, loose pipe and gasket onto the pump
check that what you are reading is a faulty oil pressure sender unit as most motors running 5 minutes with out oil will be just about knackered

I have a 05 z71 and lately on cold start up's the oil pressure gauge and info center tell's me low oil pressure for 3-5 seconds then the pressure comes up but not all the way after about 8-10 miles it

Oil gets thicker overtime and the oil filter gets clogged up with debris between changes/services.so cold environments cause sluggish thicker oil which takes longer warm and to reach its ideal viscosity operating temperature.A change of oil and filter would improve oil pressure reading on startup.

Puting iol in a 1992 oldsmobile

Most vehicles can take between 4-5 quarts of oil. Never rely just on a number. Put 3.5-4 quarts in the car, let it sit for a couple of minutes, pull out the dipstick, clean it, and re-insert it to check the level. Add oil til the dipstick reads as full.

Once it's full, run the motor for about 5 minutes, kill the motor, and let it sit for about 5 minutes, then clean the dipstick and re-check the oil. It may need a little more oil, as the filter may have taken some of the oil.

HOW MANY QUARTS OF OIL DOES THIS TRUCK TAKE?

5 Quarts and then start the motor. Run the motor until the oil pressure reads on the gage. Shut the motor off, let sit for a minute or two and check the oil. If it reads low add the appropriate amount of oil to the crankcase. Then write the number of quarts of oil required on a piece of tape and place the tape on the inside of the glovebox for future reference.

Oil pressure gauge shows no pressure when its cold out for about 5 minutes till it warms up 97 ford f150/4.6l. I use 10w30 oil, could there be a wire connection to the motor be shorting? where is it? Or is...

Jim, I think your oil pressure sender is going bad, you should replace it and see that your oil pressure is in fact good, you can also check and verify the wires to it at the same time. It is located next to the oil filter. Hope this helps, let me know
