You might want to check and change both fuel filters. the one on the frame and the one under the hood. You also might want to clean your tank out. I had a problem like this on my 06 and it was trash in the tank.

run the fault codes and look for problem O2 sensors and blocked cat converter. The codes will report any faulty sensors in the air /fuel metering system. Check the pressure in the fuel manifold.

Owner of 2004 Ford F250. Check engine light came

Check the fuel regulator at the end of the fuel rail. If if is not functioning properly it can cause the the problem that you are describing. Unfortunately other than doing an R&R with a known good regulator I do not know of a fool-proof test for this component.

1979 ford f250 wont start unless i put gas in CARB

first of all you have no carb its fuel injected, at least you know you have spark, now do you have fuel pressure??, is the fuel pump working?/ if you have fuel and pressure then you have to check signal at the injectors, so if you have fuel pressure and a good injector pulse the next step is to check the injectors, this may require removal, good luck

04 f250 diesel cranks but won't start

this is an oil pressure problem, either a sensor is not sensing enough oil pressure, or the high pressure pump is not building enough pressure(possibly leaking or head is leaking). this engine requires 450 psi minimum oil pressure at the injectors to actuate the injectors.

tighten all fuel connections from filter to injector pump to injectors because if air is allowed in (between pressure pulses) then power loss will occur.
