Is there a v4 engine that will fit a chevy cavalier z24?

GM doesn't make a v-4, I don't think anyone does. Cavaliers did have a straight 4 engine, a 2.2 liter engine if car is a '90 or later year car. It's a very good engine, but if you swap them, there are many issues to consider, like will your transaxle bolt up to it, the engine wiring harness and the PCM will likely need swapping. Any number of little things have to be considered, and only someone familiar with engine swaps should attempt it. Oh yes, don't forget the exhaust system-that will need some modifying, too...it's a real can of worms you are asking about- do-able, but will take time, money, and a lot of patience.

My car seems like it wont hold a charge or something. If it isn't drove everyday then my battery always need a jump. I recently put a radio in. And I have bought several battery but problem still happen

I just had the same problem' I hate to say.... but it's the PCM under the hood on the drivers side. It manages the voltage of the charging system circuit internally, and originally I thought it was the alternator B/C it was putting out around 20V. The only good news is that I found out finally that the motor (2.0L 4Cyl non turbo) was Chrysler/Dodge common and will swap out with the Sebring - Avenger - Neon 4Cyl motors from '98 to '99. These motors are very specific to this PCM so check your facts first but I finally got it from Orielly's Auto Parts store w/ 3 day ground shipping for around $150.00.... Good Luck

Engine swap

I believe the 1995 S/C 3.8L changed in 1996 (switched to series II). I do know for sure that the normally asperaited 1995 had a Series II 3.8L.

If this is true (series I in 1995 S/C), quite a lot could possibly need changed.

How hard is it to swap out a 2.8 to a 4.3 in a chevy s10 blazer??

Just pull the wiring harness and ECM. Everything else should be cake. Don't forget to protect the ECM from static, electric. No plastic bags, metal, or anything electrically or statically conductive. put it on a wooden shelf or something.

Motor swap 88?

It sure Won't The Bolt Patterns are Different. And you will need to Cut out the Fender Wells to get the 350 to fit and use Hugger Headers and they would be a REALLY Tight Squeeze. I have seen it done though. Also the Rear End would Shell out unless you put a 12 Bolt in it.
