Question about 1999 Chevrolet Lumina
1999 Chevy lumina a/c will not come on. OK new compressor was put in 6 months ago good cold air ran fine. One day just stopped. went back to the a/c repair shop all they do. Had it tested. fuses fine relays fine all wiring fine. only way to get a/c to run is jump ground on relay then it will run all the time. The book says first replace the a/c/ control panel did. not it. last to replace the pcm did not it. any idea. also new high and low side sensors. and still full of r 134,
Did you replace the orfice ? its like a screen device in the line near the firewall where the freon enters the dash..It also acts as an orfice which lets the freon squeeze into the car making it cold in the evaporator.. Which then is blown by your fan into the car making it cold.. I guess i didnt ask is the compressor kicking on ? or not at all. the compressor is controled by a pressure switch on the dryer .. when the system is low the compressor will not come on .. hope this helps jerry and holler if you need more ...
