I cant figure how to change the backup lights in my 2001 lincoln navigator.

Open tailgate and look for 2 screws in between light fixture and tailgate. remove two screws and take entire light assembly out to access light-bulbs.

How do you remove the backup lights for bulb replacement


Open the rear doors on the inside you'll find three or four screws,unscrew those and you can access the bulbs but try not to force it may be stuck considering the age and it has a seal around it to protect it from moisture.

My starter stays engaged on my 1999 lincoln navigator i already replaced solenoid starter and ignition box


im having the same problem and cant figure it out. i just found the wire that tells the starter to turn on and cut it and put me a push button switch in so that it only engages when i push that button.

Is the overdrive light supposed to be on at all times on a 2001 lincoln navigator?


if it is flashing then it is a MIL. if it is on steady then it may mean that o/d is turned off. is it shifting fine?

to me this sounds more like a wheel speed sensor than anything to do with the actual brakes itself, my brother had a similar problem with his 03 F150. i replaced the wheel speed sensors and the problem seemed to disapate.
