1994 tercel overheated now wont start

I answered this with a lengthy explanation.. about blowing your head gasket do not run a car when it over heats it will cost you a engine.. wait until it cools down to add water and most likely you need a new thermostat or you already have a blown head gasket .. this is much cheaper then an engine do not drive car when HOT.

the thermostat is located in the water inlet houseing in the drivers side of the clyinder head at the lower rad hose -- remove lower hose and then remove the -2-#10 bolts that hold the houseing to the head

Radiator ran dry, refilled and now the car won't fire. Andy suggestions?

Did it run long after running dry? My Toyota ran hot enough and long enough that the head warped. Got the head machined and engine ran good.
