It's 12 nM which appears to convert to about 9 foot lbs of torque.... if your torque wrench has nM use that.

What is the valve cover torque specs?

Hi Earl:
Since the valve cover is not subject to mechanical loads like connecting rods or main bearing caps, tightening to an exact torque is not usually an issue.
The important thing is to have the parts clean prior to assembling.
Make sure the gasket is properly fitted, and apply sealer as recommended. I would just run all the bolts in until light contact is made, then starting at the centre, gently snug them down. If you pretend you're following an increasing spiral (same idea as head bolts) and repeat several times, you'll find that a "point of resistance" is reached that indicates they are done. It comes with years of experience, and breaking one bolt because you overdid it.

How do you align the torque converter to the motor of a 2000 plymouth neon 2.0L with transmission still in the vehicle without it binding?

The trick is to place the torque converter onto the gear box first and slide it back to the gear box. position the gear box against the engine housing and do up the bolts. Then through the inspection cover opening pull the converter up to the flex plate align the bolt holes ,insert the bolts and tension up

My son ran his 1997 plymouth neon low on oil. It is now nocking at higher rpm. Sounds like it's coming from the top passenger side of engine. I removed the valve cover,(16vDOHC) nothing appears to be...

most likely scrubbed a bearing in the engine causing the knock not much of a quick cure for this other than replacing the engine or rebuilding

What is the torque on a head for a1997 plymouth neon

After removing the head bolts you should use new ones, torque specs will be with the new bolts. Also make sure you run a tap through the block and lubricate head bolts prior to installation for better torque accuracy.
