SOURCE: Power Window in a 2001 GMC Sierra Extended Cab

i just changed my unit on drivers side door man it was a pain well first it started off with not going at all i thought it was the motor but motor was good the wire was just getting hung up because the plastic piece broke on the track,so first disconnect motor from track and hit switch to see if it turns, and if not then replace motor,be careful not to loosen the cable.you almost need it exact tension for the track to work right.

SOURCE: i purchased a 2005 gmc sierra 1500 extended cab.

Mkisner, I have a 2003 gmc 1500 extend cab. I hear a small fan running in the headliner. It's very loud when cold outside. When I press on the grille in the head liner it quiets down. After the cab warms up the sound goes away. I ask the mechanic at the dealer what in heck is that. He said it's a fan that registers inside temperature for the air/heater. They have to take the headliner down to change it. He said expensive to change because of labor so I live with it. That is the explanation that was given to me. It does look like a speaker. The On-star voice receiver is in the mirror and speakers are the radio. That's why the radio music mutes when talking to On-Star or using the truck phone. You might what to know that Verizon has a deal with On-Star to add the truck phone to you Verizon bill for $9.95 per month sharing your minute with your cell phone. Verizon will assign a new phone number for your truck. It works great and you can program voice commands for the phone. Very powerful and clear. You can't go wrong but you have to keep On-Star active. Ken

I have a 2007 clssic body style GMC sierra crew cab and i am having problems with the radiop speakers going in and out also the chime on seat belt warning and overhed dome lights not coming on and coming...

Okay, your truck doesn't have a demon living in it! It does however, have one or two broken wires on the drivers door for sure, and possibly the passenger door as well. Start with the drivers door. You want to carefully inspect each wire in the rubber boot going from the door over to the cab body. If you jiggle the boot you'll see what I mean. The chimes work thru the radio and speakers and that is why both stop working. This may have to do with the dome light as well but, I think it has a seperate wire. This is a very common problem on GMC pick-ups and Medium Duty trucks. You may have to remove the door panel to see what color the speaker wires are in order to trace them. Also, the insulation on the damaged wire may not be broken, just the wire inside. If you can't locate the break, remove both the door panel and the kick panel next to the park brake and run new wires. Starting from about two inches back from the speaker connector, thru the door, thru the boot, and far enough into the kick panel area to give enough wire length to splice them in, 2 or 3 inches back from the main harness connector. There are a lot of wires there so make double sure you match the color before you go snipping wires! The dome light wire is black or black with a white stripe, and the speaker wires may be tan and gray. Make sure to match the speaker polarity with the new wires!
Hope this helps.

I have a 2008HD GMC Sierra 4WD Diesel - I need power for my new pillar gauges. Which fuse in the cab fuse box will supply keyed accessory power and no power during ignition/cranking?

depending on what brand and style of gauges you use, you might want power with the key in the start position. I have Autometer electric gagues in my Ford diesel and the power is "on" anytime the key is on or in the start position. If you don't need power during the cranking cycle, then I would probably use the radio fuse.

I need to know how to install a fuel pressure regulator on a 98 GMC K3500 4x4

The fuel pressure regulator is located under the upper intake manifold or plenum. This large aluminum casting must be removed for access.I assume this is a 454 c.i.d.old body style pick up. 2000 was a split year for GM. Both old and new body styles.

How to remove the car stereo from 2007 Chevy Colorado

This is not hard but tricky because the trim plate around the radio has clips that hold the trim plate very tight.Use a plastic type flat tool or flat screw driver wraped with tape or a shop rag to avoid damage to the plastic trim and pry the trim panel around the radio loose. remove all elec connectors. Then remove the screws that hold the radio in place and remove all elec connectors.
