Question about 2003 Honda CR-V

1 Answer

Right front wheel and seat belt

I have a 2003 honda crv , has only 47,000. the problem is when i am driving my r/f wheel feels like its bouncing around even if i am on a level ground. i did an alignment around summer of last yr and i just bought 4 new tires. Also there are times that the car feels like its pulling to the side either right or left. i suspect it needs another alignment but am unsure. Also my seat belt (driver) does not release at times when i press on the button it takes a few tries for inserting it in and out in order for it to come completely out. any ideas on what may be happening? thanks for the help

Hi.! I bought a Honda cr-v model 2003 and did not have manual book, how cal i tell if its two wheel drive or front wheel drive.is there an indication where can i look? Thanks..

Depends on the model, if it is all wheel drive it should have AWD on the back window.
The Honda CRV uses very smart technology to have AWD. Let me explain it simply. The CRV is essentially a front wheel drive car, but there are sensors mounted on all the tires that sense slipping. If the computer determines the wheel is spinning faster than the other ones, it uses hydraulics to engage the rear end differential and presto..All Wheel Drive. You do nothing, no switches, no levers, the computer does it all for you. If it is indeed AWD, you can look under the car to see if you have a driveshaft going into the rear differential (axle)

Please vote if this helped! Thanks, Mike

with a SCANNER.
your mechanic or Honda Dealer will provide this service....
Disconnecting the battery won`t do you any good.
You will have to fix the air-bag problem first before you can erase the airbag light...

When accelerating from approximately 0 - 20 mph

My immediate quick test would be to move the front tires to the back (and backs to front, of course) then try it out. If the vibration is still there but feels like it's coming from somewhere else (vibration could feel like it's in in steering wheel or seat), you've got a broken belt or bent rim (wheel). Don't want to get your hands dirty? Get all 4 wheels balanced -5 to 10 bucks per wheel.

Is Honda CRV cars four wheel drive?

Hi

The CRV is produced in both front wheel drive and four wheel drive versions. However in UK and Australia it is only available as a 4 WD as the front wheel drive option is not available in these countries.

The answer to your question therefore is that it is produced in both 2 WD and 4 WD but is dependant on what country you live in and the model variant.

Hope this helps. Please do rate my answer. Thanks.

I have the same problem on an '04 model. I'm replacing the Stabilizer link bars. That is here my noise is coming from. Should be able to replace with a minimume amount of effort. Two bolts and thats about it. I'll let you know how it works out.
