Question about 2006 Chrysler Town & Country

Air filter replacement

I have a 2006 Chrysler Town & Country (touring) with a 3.8 V-6.  I am having trouble with replacing the air filter.  I noticed two clips that  hold the top half of the housing to the bottom half.  I have moved them off and tried to lift up on the the top half of the housing but it will not lift up.  I saw the top half of the housing has 3 tabs that fit into 3 slots on the bottom half of the housing.  I tried to move the top half over to get those lips past the slots but can not move it far enough over to lift it up.  Am I missing another clip or step that needs to be done before I can lift up the top half of housing.

I see only 2 clips and the 3 lips and the slots that they fit into.  I put a little more effort in removing it and it came apart.  I was able to remove the filter and replace it.

    Thanks for the help!

Look carefully around the top half unless someone lost them, there should be more than two clips that hold it down

Check under the panel where the wiper arms are, between the hood and the windshield. Unbolt/screw it and it should be on the pass. side.
