The driver-side door has settled (dropped down a bit) on my 1996 dodge b2500 diesel pickup. Is there a way to raise it so it won't hit the step plate?

SOURCE: 2002 Chrysler T&C sliding door won't UNLOCK w/ Switch or Key FOB

the other locks work correctly.

quick fix is to clean the contacts that the door makes when you close it. there are contacts on the door pillar (probably look like little copper circles) on the door itself there will be some spring loaded contacts... make sure they work freely and are clean.

SOURCE: Dashboard Lights will not go on Mazda Pickup B2500 1999

As long as all fuses are good, you need to check the light switch its self. Remove the light switch assembly from the dash. With a 12 volt circuit tester, check the wiring coming out of the switch. The dash lights will be powered along with the side marker lights.

Probe each wire that joins the switch, turning the switch on and off. If you don't have any loss of power here, it can be at the printed circuit board at the dash.

SOURCE: key lock on drivers door won't unlock the door

you need to take the door panel off, there is a rod in there that connects to the lock cylinder it frequently pops off, there is a little plastic clip that should hold it on to the cylinder it may be broken!!

Window fell down driver side on a 2004 dodge dakota so whats the problem

Hello,
Something caused the window to come out of the track. Some times it can be caused by something hitting the window, sometimes hitting a big pothole.

If you're a little bit handy, you should be able to remove the door panel to access the window and put it back on the track.

I hope this helps.

While driving my 1996 Dodge Stratus, it was cold outside, and when I went to lower the window, the window was frozen shut and would not go down, later, apparently after the car warmed up, the window...

The reason this happened was because the window glass was frozen in place. When you operated the switch to try and lower the window the torque from the window motor caused the glass to separate from the window regulator. Once it warmed up, the glass was free to drop down in the door because the window regulator had already traveled in the down position.
