sorry about that.. i bought a truck and they had the trailer hook lights all messed up, i bought a new plug in and im tryin to scab it into the old wiring. what is the black AX wire for and on the new plug the purple back up wire which color does that **** with since i dont have a purple wire from the truck??? i hope that helps a little bit...

If you still need help, let me know, and what other color wires do you have, as I've never seen a purple wire for a hook up! And emission wiz is correct, you can figure out what each wire does by hooking up a test light ( or volt meter). To start, White is ground, black is power to battery trickle charge, blue is trailer brakes.

no diagrams here, to find out what each wire does use a 12 volt test light and turn on the different lights one by one.

Missing license plate wiring and complete assembly. How do I splice in to the trailer or tail lamp wiring? Off the "brown wire"? Is it really that easy?

These are the diagrams basically from the headlamp switch going back to the license plate lamps. The main splice after the headlamp switch going back is in the main harness near the warning chime module. If you need a larger picture or the entire outside lighting wiring, feel free to email me at csautomotivecars@att.net with all your vehicle information. Yes it is that simple by just splicing into the main rear light wiring at the brown wire. Hope this is what you were looking for.....

Need to know where fuse for trailer lights hookup is located on a 2000 ford expedition eddie b edition

The trailer light's are just connected to the wire's going to the tail light's so the tail light stop light and indacator's are using the same fuse as your car. If all the light's on the trailer are not working and the tail light's on the car are then most likely it's a bad ground connection. Only one ground wire is connected to the plug so all the light's depend on it.

2006 Ford F250 Super Duty no running light for trailer and keep blowing a fuse

have seen this a few times on fords. I'm assuming it only blows when you use the trailer. then the only cause can be a shorted wire somewhere between the trailer connector to the lights at the rear of the trailer or maybe the light assembly is bad. If the problem happens when you have no trailer hooked up then inspect the trunk harness. and wiring under the bumpers. Something 12v got pinched.
