SOURCE: manual shift mode and exhaust leak

You most likely have a broken wire in the steering column that goes to the manual shift mode switch. And as far as the exhaust leak goes, you need a new manifold. They crack and leak. Common problem.

There should be a big nut in the center of the wheel hub. You will have to remove atleast one of the ball joints if it's IFS.

SOURCE: 1999 dodge cummins 2500 front axel seals

you need to pull off wheels, brakes, rotor /unit hub bearing, both axles and intermediate shaft, as well as the vac disconnec ton the front axle tube. if only the right side leaks then only then only pull the right axle and intermediate shaft and vac disco. it is a trick with a miller tool to replace the seal. the left side seal is inside the diff and the carrier has to come out to replace it. pete

SOURCE: how to change my front differential seal and

That will be a Huge job. The whole front diff must come out of the car and the case will need to be taken apart to even gain acess to the carrier side bearings.
The hub bearing is where the wheel bolts up is that maybe what you are talking about?
Also the axle seal isn't that bad to do you need to remove the cv shaft then it's just a simple remove the seal and install the new one.
But all of these jobs will be big ones.

Crankshaft seal keeps leaking how do I align da seal, any pics

There are thin sleeves to put on the crankshaft to enlarge the shaft to cover the worn out area on the crankshaft ,so the seal will keep the oil in , These are available at a good auto parts store I believe we called them speedy sleeves. Older fords had problems with axels leaking differential oil on to brake shoes. Very common problem with small block chev V8's to leak oil at front cover of the motor. Just slide the sleeve on, and install the seal

How do you change the front axel seal

Which seal do you mean?? The CV boot on the front hal fshafts or the seal on the outside of the differential assembly?

Either one is not too tough, but the rough part in either case is removing the half shaft assembly on the side of the leak.

The rear axle seals are leaking too,it's been my experience with Dodge 2500's,all 3 seals leaking is usually a indication that there are bearings going south!

Rear axel seals are leaking

If you or a friend have basic mechanical skills, you can repair this yourself for about $150 per side. The dealer will charge $300-$400 per side.

Leaking left rear wheel seal.

Loosen differential cover and let oil drain. Remove cover, remove E clip lock from axel. Pull axel out. Remove bearing seal. Install new seal and reinstall axel. Reinstall E clip lock and new cover gasket. Fill with 75-90wt gear oil. Now I know that sound pretty straight forward. But there are some things to remember. The E clip lock can be difficult to remove sometimes. The most important thing is the seal, you will need to make sure it gets seated correctly and not torn when installing axel
