IT CUT OFF AND WOULD NOT CUT BACK ON WE REPLACE THE FUEL PUMP WE KNEW THATS WHAT IS WAS AND IT STARTED RIGHT UP AND I DROVE IT FOR ABOUT TWO HOURS WE DIDNT REPLACE THE FUEL FILTER

What were the symptoms which caused you to replace the fuel pump?

Did you replace the fuel filter at the same time?

Disconnect the outlet from the fuel filter and run it to a container. Turn over the engine for a few revolutions and see if gas is getting through.

How long did it run before it quit?

I would agree with the test to see if fuel is going thru the filter.

But first, can you hear the pump run when you first turn on the ignition switch (just before the starter is energized)? If the fuel pump is not running this inidicates an electrical problem.

Did you check the fuel pump relay ? The relay gets power from a fuse and also from the PCM relay. The computer grounds the relay to turn it on for 3 seconds when you turn the key on, then only after the computer "sees" RPM or oil pressure.

Recently my C70 has started cutting out at low to mid throttle, most of the time it happens from a cold start. It acts like the fuel is being cut off and on, the tach drops immediately then picks back up....

Your description is a head scratcher. The best diagnosis I can come up with is a 'bad pre pump in the fuel tank or pre pump relay'. Fuel passes through a filter sock, then a pre pump within the tank to a second pump under the front seat before going through an in-line filter to the fuel rail where its pressure is regulated by a fuel pressure regulator before reaching the injectors. Can you hear the pre pump buzzing when you listen at the open filler cap (ignition at position 2 but no engine running). Does the second pump at the front of the car sound laboured? Listen for the pre pump and then remove it's fuse (11?) can you hear a difference? Return the fuse for the pre pump and remove the fuse for the second pump (1?) can you hear the difference. The car should just about run on one pump but wont start without any pump. This diagnosis would also account for the 'starting with the cap removed' observation.....one pump will find it harder to supply fuel if there is a partial vacuum build up in the tank.

Ford F250 turbo diesel cut out and died as left house this morning, cold morning. Will not start, not even a cough. Have new fuel filters, need location of the filters, anything else I should check?

if you have the 6.0 then the filters are located on top on the motor right beside your oil filter and under the drivers side on the fuel pump, check to see if you have diesel in your bowl where the fuel filter is, no diesel in there your fuel pump might be dead, check fuses to fuel pump and check relay on the passengers side kicker panel, check your owners manual

Truck won't start

If it has a vortech V8 It has to have the right fuel PSI or it won't start. Also pick up in distributor could be causeing problem. Cross over style distributor cap also can cause problem. Out of oil? Fuel pressure regulator where found inside the intake manifold with injector cluster, if fuel psi regulator goes bad could be leaking fuel in intake causing oil to get deluted and burn.
