1997 Mazda Miata 117,000, A/T
Engine runs smooth when cool. When it warms up the engine dies, either at stop or on highway. When restarted it runs smooth again. 5 mechanics and 1500.00 later it still does it.
New; Fuel pump, new plugs, wires, starter, throttle control autobody.

Change the sir-filter and fuel-filter. Also clean out the air-filter box the filter sits in. If the problem persists, remove the air-intake duct that goes to the throttle body for obstructions. Also look at the air-horn and throttle-plate. Is there carbon in the air-horn and throttle-plate? If so, carefully clean the airhorn and throttle-plate with a clean, dust-free rag sprayed with automotive solvent.
If you still have the pronlem, you might consider the engine temperature-senser.
