2007 Honda rancher 420 installed new fuel pump Fuel injected still will not start, we spray gas in it will run


Even with a new pump its important to check fuel pressure and flow . Low pressure fuel pressure regulator stuck open or fuel pump faulty . Low flow blocked fuel filter . if the above is all ok. Back probe injector with led trouble light , light will glow while motor is turning over. if not check fuses , if ok check injector cable back to the ECU for bad connections .

where the fuel line goes into carb the line goes into a big nut remove line remove nut /bolt filter is behind that

Engine wont start


Sounds like a fuel or spark problem. Check your fuses first. If it is not a fuse you need to determine if you have enough spark and enough fuel arriving at the spark. First pull out your number one spark plug and check the spark and gap to rule out the need of new (or cleaning of old) spark plugs and/or ignition system (i.e. ignition wires (you will need a spark plug gapping tool for this)). If that has been ruled out then remove the injector rails and try a quick turn of the key to determine if they are delivering fuel by noticing if the fuel squirts out. If you have little or no fuel coming out (it should squirt hard) of they injectors you will then need to determine where the stoppage is (whether you need injectors, fuel filter, fuel pumper or any combination including all of the above). If you determine it is a fuel problem check the filter if it is blocked or dirty replace it. If it is not the filter then change the pump. If it still does not work you need to clean or replace the injectors. Replacing is suggested, the fuel injector cleaners are not good for other components of the vehicle and also are not good for the environment. Of course I write this under the assumption you have fuel in the tank.

Not hearing fuel pump coming on. Checked relay, ok, Have power (using test light) to far right (standing behind car) wire (there are 5 wires counting the ground). I think I should have power to the...


Your fuel pump is powered by the GREEN fuse link in the fuse link holder. If you have 2 terminals (both WHITE/BLACK wires) at the fuel pump relay that is HOT all the time (even with the key OFF) then this fuse link is OK. There are no other fuses to be concerned with.

There is also a "Fuel Pump Control Unit" located on the left rear quarter panel, behind the "B" pillar. (See Picture)

Have 89 d150 just put 318 with 430 lift cam magnum heads 1.6 rockers witch i think bumped cam to about 480 lift.disconected the computer **** and made it carberated. still using electric fuel pump and...


You might just try bumping up the fuel pressure to 12PSi.
you useing a double pumper you need at least that.
I might need more info but sounds like a cool ride.

Not getting gas to motor put in new fule pumper and fifter


check fuel pump relays. there should be a reset button and or switch. mine was located behind my glove compartment. check your manual for location. also check fuses for fuel pump fuses.

Key in ignition to on. Gauges fuel and temperature don't respond. All other electrical accessories do. Lights OK. Motor starts and stalls Vehicle is a 1996 Dodge Gran Caravan 3.8


CHECK THE DASH FUSE.IF ALL IS GOOD.YOU GOT A LOOSE GROUND WIRE OR A FAULTY DASH.BUT YOUR CAR STALLING COULD BE FUEL PROBLEMS.CHANGE FUEL FILTER AND CHECK FUEL PRESSURE.IT SHOULD BE 49 PSI.MAKE SURE YOU HEAR FUEL PUMP RUNNING WHEN YOU TURN ON IGNITION SWITCH.IF NOT.CHECK FUSE AND RELAY.IF THEY BOTH ARE OK.FUEL PUMP IS FAULTY.
