How do i adjust hand break new shoes fitted on a smart for two hand break lever is all the way uo ?

Adjusting the Hand Brake is quite easy

At the bottom of the Hand Brake Lever , you will see the cable with like nuts (teeth) on the cable locked by the lock on the lever it self, you will need to open the lock , take the cable off the lock , drop the handle down and put the cable back on the lever and lock it.

That is how the hand brake is adjusted on the Smart car 2002 model

Help change fan belts on Mitsubishi pajero nm 202 mod can`t undo pully nut is it left or right handed thred

First job is to remove the 4 bolts securing the Intercooler, Its not totaly necessary to remove, but makes it a lot easier to get to the pullies.

Remove the 4 Bolts and move the Intercooler to the left hand side of the engine

Loosen off the locking bolt on the centre of the pully and then loosen the adjuster bolt until belt slackens

Loosen off the forward facing locking bolt and then loosen the adjuster bolt (Hidden behind the top hose) until belt slackens

You should now be able to remove all the belts and replace as required.

On refitting the belts adjust as required and then do up the locking bolts, refit Intercooler and check all connections (you wouldn't like the intercooler fan to fail

Its as easy as that, Good luck and not be held responsible for any 'misfortunes' in carry out the job like breaking out in to a sweat.

I keep hering a taping noise coming from the back of the car somewher it lasts for about 1 to 2 mins but what i cant work out is its doing it when the car isnt even turnt on and its a mitsubishi carisma...

There are 2 possibilities causing your problem. 1. Fuel pump. On some cars it is possible to hear the fuel pump when they are mounted in the rear. They are the electric impulse type, and only operate on demad.

2. automotaic load leveling suspension. The car will automotically adjust to the increase or decease of load thru its shocks.
