Air supsension range rover 03

Have just replaced the front o/s air spring and reconnected. Started the car and the front is now sitting much lower than the back and 'self levelling' and air suspension inactive fault showing. Any ideas how to rectify. I assumed the pump etc would level the car automatically regards

I have the same problem. I was driving in Los Angeles with my 2003 HSE with 60,000 miles and all of a sudden when I stopped at a stop sign, the front end suspension just dropped. There is no light on where you can bring the suspension up and down near the gearshirft. And It says Air Suspension Inactive. I just spent 3000 bucks on the 60,000 mile tune up and replaced the oxygen sensors. But this is a new issue. It aint a cold thing either.. we live in LA and it was 80 degrees today.

You need to take the car back to the dealer and have the error eraised. next time you need to work at the car disconect the battery, this may help, but usually the system has to be reset. my 2002 rangerover returns to the bump stops after being jacked up, and i have to take it to the dealer to have it reset. it works perfectly all the time until the wheels are lifted of the ground, i've been told different things by the dealer, from being unlucky to needing a compressor, i've just changed the front sensors, so i need to test the system now, which i will do at the dealers some time soon to see if i have the problem solved. i'll keeps you posted.

2003 Range Rover air suspension. Help please!!

If the bag hasnt completely failed (punctured or worn to leaking) they can come "unseated" from the base at the bottom of the "bellow" or bag. Not very common but possible. Alternatives to dealer parts and installation checkout ARNOTT air springs. The bag alone runs about $100. If you can afford it replace both fronts with the ARNOTT new generation one piece airspring. The are easy to install and offer little or no headache. Lastly, if you are a fan of the unsurpassed comfort of your Range Rover air-ride suspension, dont let anyone talk you into the coil spring conversion. Its not the same level of comfort and you will feel a big difference in handling. Good luck!

I have a 04 range rover that the front left air suspension wont lift. No fault light is on? Any ideas?

It could be that the pipe from the air pump is defect it could also be that the air spring ( strut assembly ) is broken.

firstly check which part is leaking, pipes to the air spring, the air spring, or the valve blocks. replace the faulty part, and the compressor. because the compressor is damaged already wit the constant pumping of air for the airspring. to check leak in the system use soap n water using a bottle with a spray head.

Instead of replacing your failed air suspension parts I recommend converting to the passive coil spring system. This is a permanent fix to the problems caused by the air ride suspension. Check out Strutmasters website for the kit that will fit your Range Rover: I hope this helps!
