I feel a vibration when I step on stop brake pedal. Could this be my brake pads need changimg.

yes it could be worn brake pads, it may also mean that the discs themselves are warped. Less likely are worn bushes in steering. Hope this helps

Brakes loosing pressure

Well first of you need to take it to where you got it done if you had pressure prior to taking it in to get the brake job done. If you had drum brakes done, it sounds as if the brakes were not adjusted. It is possible if anything to do with the hydrolics like whell cylinders or caliper replacement, you could be dealing with air in the lines because the system was not bled properly. Not sure what all you had done for $300 so just going with possiblities. Drum brakes have self adjusters. They adjust themselves when going in reverse and applying the brakes. You can kind of adjust them yourself by going at a pretttty good speed in reverse and applying the brakes kind of hard. Don't slam on them to lock them up. Just get going at a pretty good (safe) rate of speed in reverse. Try to come to a prettty quick but smooth stop. Do this several times. If this seems to help the pedal not going to the floor, adjustment may be the problem. If you had any work on the hydrolics and it wasn't bled correctly or there is a leak, this procedure will not work. In any case I personally think you should take it back to where you got the work done and have them correct it at no cost to you.

1 Answer My back brakes started grinding. I had my front brakes replaced (pads and rotors) about 2 months ago. I wont have the money to get the back brakes done for two weeks. Will I...

Back brakes will cost about as much that you paid for the front. You can drive on them for awhile, but get them replaced as soon as possible. Be carefull and give yourself plenty of stopping room.

How much does a rear brake line cost for a 1993 Ford Econoline?

The answer to your question will depend upon who does the work. Option #1: If you purchase the brake line from an automotive supply house (i.e. AutoZone), the enire repair will run you less than $50. This estimate will include the cost of the brake line(s) and the needed brake fluid. P.S. you must bleed the brakes, but this does not cost anything more, its just work. Option #2: if you bring the car in and have the work done I would estimate the repair to run anywhere from $400 to $500.

The cyclinder costs about 10 bucks at the partds store and if you change it before the fluild gets on the shoes your done of course the shoes being worn out are the readon most cyclinders leak. Shoes cost about 25 bucks and if you pay someone to do the work they should reconmend that whatever you do to one side you should do to the other side. turn or replace the drums repalace the springs ( 10 bucks) replace both wheel cylinders, Bleed the bakes all the way around till theirs new fluild in the whole system. If you not handy working on brakes have somone who is help you or hire the work done. The life you might save could be your own.

How much does it cost to install a wheel cylinder on a 94 Ford Tempo?

Well the cost is location relevant, but there is more to be aware of.
First, brakes need to be done in axle sets, both front or both rear...
Usually there is other damage with wheel cylinder issues, like leaking. Brakes are done when soaked with brake fluid..and need to be replaced.
Also, springs need attention, as overheating happens on OTHER brakes with wheel cylinder issues...
Brake drums need to be resurfaced....
So all of these things take between 2 to 4 hours plus all of the needed parts. The wheel cylinders are not very costly, themselves, but the job and labor sometimes is..

I have brake fluid leaking from back passenger wheele right from the back onto the this a costly repair? is there any thing i can do to fix it my self

No, it won't be costly. It's just the brake cylinder leaking. You will need to buy a new one. You will have to pull the wheel off, and take the brake drum off. Undo the brake line from the back of the cylinder. Remove the two bolts that hold it in place, and replace it witht he new one.

All shops will tell you that you need to turn or replace the front rotors when you do brakes. I personally only replace rotors, and only if I get shaking in the steering wheel when I apply the brakes. In answer to your question 75 to 125$ us for a brake job including pads and turning the rotors.
