does it happen when accelerating heavy too, or driving up a larger hill (provided you have hills where you are)?

Your problem is loss of vacuum that is for sure, the source is the engine, it comes through the firewall on the passenger side, if u have good vacuum to the source then replace the vacuum mode control switch in the dash at the heater AC control..

1998 jeep does'nt blow heat checked fuses and relay. i smell antifreeze every now and then. when i get to about 40 mph i can feel a little heat blow out of the vents. vents swicth to foot and to d

Are you saying there is no air coming out of the vents, or the air is not hot ??
If both heater hoses are hot and the air coming out the vents is not, you could have a blend door problem under the dash.
The blend doors direct air thru the heater core and the vents.

1999 z71 air conditioning randomly stops blowing

If the air stops blowing from the vents, the problem is with the blower motor. If it doesn't come on, try slapping the motor with your hand. If it starts when slapped, replace the motor.

While going down the road at 60 to 65 mph blower stops blowing from vents and transfers to the defrost. Any ideas on this problem would be appreciated. Vehicle is a 1998 jeep wrangler.

I HAVE A 2005 FORD EXPEDITON AND THE AIR WILL NOT BLOW OUT OF THE FRONT VENTS/IT BLOWS OUT OF THE BACK VENTS AND THE DEFROST. ALSO I HAVE THIS THUMPING NOISE COMING FROM THE REAR BACK PANEL INSIDE THE CAR...

I had the AC problem too, and they said there was a hole in the hose. They fixed it and now it comes out of the vents as it suppose too, but when I first accelerate to go up a hill, it stops blowing out of the dash vents. Once I have stopped going up the hill, the air starts blowing out again. Weird.

Your blower motor may be going or the fan.

Air stops blowing through the vents when accelerating

u have a loss of vacuum to the ac mode control switch, this switch applies vacuum to diff vacuum motors to move air to diff outlets, dash, floor, defrost etc. either the vacuum line or vacuum resivior at the engine is leaking or the mode control is leaking vacuum.
