How do i do a dpf regeneration on a toyota dyna

normally most new diesel vehicles with diesel particulate filters give you a warning light when it is ready to regenerate.if you got your handbook it may explain the method, diesel vehicles that do more short distance driving need regen more often because the filter blocks with soot particles quicker. try driving on a motorway for about 30mins at high speeds and keep engine revs up using a lower gear perhaps? or you can try cleaner addative to add to the fuel.some vehicles have to go on diagnostic equipment to instigate regeneration.hope this helps

My 1998 Explorer on startup idiling to high, it occasionally revs up and down while idiling. Is there a trottle position sensor that controls the idiling rpm?

there is a tps located on the intake where the inlet tube for air intake connects, it would be on the left side of the throttle body. does the trk run rough on idle? up/down sputter sometimes stall? Is check engine light on? if no light, check all vacuum lines for cracks/splits loose fit. do this by spraying carb choke cleaner on connections motor rpms will change if leak is present. also spray around perimeter of intake housing where mates with lower intake if engine revs you have bad intake gasket.I Just replaced upper and lower intake on my 98 and shazaam, runs like it should. but do your checks first, unessasary fixes are costly and **** you off.

Oil pressure gauge goes up and down as I step on gas and brake but opressure is fine - Is there a switch I need to replace and how much does it cost>

Hi Guest,

This is normal. As the engine rev's higher the oil pressure goes up, revs lower, pressure lower.

Jeeps just use a more sensitive gauge than most.

Best regards
Mike

after driving awhile car warms up and oil thins out need to check oil pressure oil pump may be causing problem or pump screen clogging-bad oil filter - other is possible sludge problem ///lower revs slower pump works and lower drop in pressure same as higher reves higher pressure

Change fuel filter and air filter. If that doesn;t help you may have a fuel transfer pump pressure problem.

Does the shogun lower its wheels Ive just seen a 4x4 do that to get passengers in

If an air suspension is placed in the 4x4 then yes this could be done. While I am not certain I believe many Land Rovers have air systems to raise and lower the truck for road or off-roading. As practice though; no, the Shogun / Montero would not have this system (at least not in the states).
I hope this may have assited you,
Tom

Shogun di-d 3.2 overheating when towing

This is not necessarily a problem with your truck. The weather this summer with the higher heat and humidity can easily push a cooling system beyond its capacity, so unless this has been going on for a long time, or persists into the cool fall weather, I wouldn't be too concerned. Keep an eye on it and a thimbs up for having the insight to figure out a quick solution to save a motor. Hope this helps.

Slow on starting , holds back when driving, even on an A road or motorway my vehicle is mitsubishi shogun long wheel base 2.8 turbo diesel

turbo must have a problem or remember tro vehicles have turbo lag. . . usually mitsu's turbos start giving power around 2500prm - 3000rpm. .

but usually on older turbo diesel mitsus the turbos are the first to go. . . .
