Question about 2001 Ford Expedition
I am currently experienceing a severe cash flow problem and don't think I can afford to spend the $150 - $200 it will cost to get a key to start my Expedition. Unfortunately, the only key I had for it went missing a few days ago and I need to get it replaced ASAP so I can go to work. Does anyone know of a cost-cutting measure I can use to do this? For example, I've seen loose old transponder keys lying around in and around the desks of car salesmen. Can a discarded Ford transponder key be reprogrammed for my vehicle? Or, can another 2001 Expedition key be reprogrammed and used? Any other suggestions?
The old keys or another expedition key can be reprogrammed to your vehicle, the only thing is you would have to change the lock cylinder to match the key or swap the ignition from another expedition with that has the key
