SOURCE: 2000 buick lesabre with abs-low

When changing pads and you push the caliper in for the new pad you should open the bleed screws. , then close and re-assemble. press pedal and open bleed screw and let it drip a little . gravity bleed. Did you turn the read caliper piston in and then press it down? The rear piston must be aligned with the pad. Did you pump the parking brake to reset?

1993 buick lesabre changed the front rotars and pads and now the cars brake pedal is so hard to push down to get car to stop. Mechanic has checked both the front and back brakes and they are fine. T

I would jack up a front wheel and see if pushing on the pedal with the engine running will stop the wheel from turning.
You need to know if the pressure is reaching the wheels, or if the pads and rotors are too slick to stop the car.
Usually if the pedal is hard, the booster is not working or the brakes are glazed.
Can you stop the car with the parking brake ? That only uses the rear brakes.
You may need a second opinion from a different shop.

My 2004 LeSabre shakes bad when I brake at around 50 mph. I changed the front brake pads. How difficult is it to change the front rotors?

Actually, changing the front rotors is not that difficult and they are relatively in-expensive. Anytime you change the pads on the front of your vehicle i would recommend having the rotors resurfaced or replaced. Especially if you are getting a brake pedal pulse when applying the brakes. Here is a step by step guide that will help you in removing your Front rotors.

Change rear break pads on 2000 Buick. Cannot compress break cylinder in order to install new pads using C clamp and bleeding off break fluid.

There's a special tool required to compress the rear caliper pistons. You may want to rent the tool. If you look at the piston you'll see one or two notches. The special tool has nipples to fit these notches. The caliper piston will have to be compressed with the tool and the notches will have to be placed in the o'clock and 6 o'clock for the brake pads to slide over the rotor. If you rent the special tool have the renter show you how to use it.
