Question about 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser
My key will not turn forward or backwards. Almost like it's the wrong key. We were able to get the key to turn and the car to start by having someone push and rock the car back and forth. As soon as I turn the car off it's like it's locked back up again. Could this be the Ignition Cylinder or something else?
This could be the ignition clyinder but try these tips first wiggle the shifter alittle bit and try it. if this works just keep doing it. and if it dont work try to move the steering whell side to side wile trying to turn the key

SOURCE: seat rocks forward and backwards
It probably is wore in some areas. That is a little harder to see. I don't think it would be anything to worry about unless it is too excessive, then you might want to look around for another one at a junk yard that doen't have too much rock to it.
