While driving at night, the low beam headlights will go out and stay out. Check again in the morning and they work.

The problem is either bad bulbs or the switch/wiring needs replacement

You will need to get an ohmeter and a voltmeter. Then on the bulb side place positive probe on inside of socket directly in the middle. Place black negative probe on the side of socket. Have another person to switch from high to low to see if the reading changes or remains the same. If the reading is different than the problem is the bulb. If the reading does not change, the next step would be to remove steering column panels to get access to switch and wiring. There will be a black fusible link off the switch wiring. You will have to pull the link apart to gain access to main wiring. You again will have to test the wires with the meter to see if the voltage increases or remains the same when switch from high to low. Black, Brown, and Green wires are negative wires, Red, Yellow, Blue, Pink, Orange are all positive wires. If the reading changes higher, than the problem is further down the wiring. If it remains the same, the problem is in the switch which will have to be taken out and replaced

Well, the problem is that I dont know the reason, you should investigate. There could be issues with lamps (must get new) or electricity problems (must head to auto-service)

Other possibilities are; the bulbs themselves, burnt or corroded bulb sockets, or a bad headlight selector switch.

Low beams dont turn on........... bulbs check ok...................fuses under hood ok.............need help

{: ) I wonder how you checked the fuses and the bulbs. Did you check also the HDM fuse 15amp and the HDM relay both at the underhood fuseblock? Turn on the low beam and check for 12v at the LO beam fuses. If there is voltage at the fuses but the low beam ok bulbs won't light, then there's a wiring issue from your fuseblock going to the bulbs.
But if no voltages on the LO fuses when the low beam is switched on, then the problem could be on the HDM fuse or relay, the headlamp switch, the BCM, or even the fuseblock.

Headlights went out. Replaced bulbs and switch and still lights don't work. Fog lights and high beams work? What else can work?

If high beams work and low beams do not, then it is probably the high/low relay. It is part number 15016745 and has four prongs. To test if your relay has gone bad locate the relay in your fuse box. There will be two of these relays located next to each other. One controls the low beam headlights and the other the cooling fan. Swap the relays and check your low beam headlights. If the low beams work you have a bad relay.

2006 GMC Envoy low beam headlights dont work. All fuses, and bulb filements, are fine.

Hello, try to start by checking the headlight relay and headlight fuse. You also may want to check to make sure the bulbs aren't blown out. If those parts check out to be fine and in working order, you may need to replace the turn signal assembly in the steering column. This part controls the hi/low beams. This may sound crazy but, when GM wired their older trucks, they wired the headlights to go from the battery, to the hi/low beam switch, then to the headlight switch (to the left of the steering wheel) then out to the light bulbs. You can kind of test to see if this part is good by making a fist and (with your headlights on) gently hitting the plastic cover for your steering column that is right behind your actual steering wheel. This could cause your headlights to flicker on and off.

Thanks
