Question about 1996 Toyota Avalon
Locate the motor under the bonnnet tis black four 10 mil bolts should be holding it in i think thru the bulk head ,,it will have the wiper linkage attached to it when you pull it out ,unscew the 12 mill nut connecting the linkage to the motor,(hit it a tap to remove ater the nuts out)then put it back as same...hope that helps patrick

Remove the glovebox door, and the under dash cover/trim panel.
Look behind where the glove box was, you will see the heater box
At the bottom of this box, there is a round plate with a wiring connector and 3 screws holding this plate to the heater box.
This plate is the bottom of the heater fan assembly; remove the connector, and the 3 screws. The fan motor will drop staright down. Real easy to do.

The heater fan motor can not be installed wrong; thee are locater tabs that preven this, and, the wire connector is just long enough to make it fit right. Thak you for allowing me to provide additional assistance, the graciousness of a FixYa woul be much appreciated.
