2002 kia sedona just bought a new battery and the car will not turn over, battery is fully charged and all connections are in great condition. How do I check and see if the starter selinoid is bad. I can hear clicking from behind the engine near the winshield, however I have not removed the cover, since the car died at work.

Yes you need to remove the starter and have it checked, But do your self a favor and buy a good one, like Napa or carquest, not the zone or kragans, checker, ect. I know you only want to replace it once.

Hi Michelle, if this is a fully charged new battery fitted then the problem is the connection from the battery, check the earth strap is making a good contact on the chassis and the terminals are connected correctly and making a good contact with the battery posts!

My 2002 Kia sedona van was going down highway , it made a grinding sound , motor died , now starter just clicks, motor won't turn over : whats could be the problem ?

Starter clicking, not enough power to turn motor over. Check the battery, make sure charge is full. If it is, your starter is shot, replace it

My 2002 kia sedona doesnt seen to keep a charge for long

The battery could have one or more bad cells in it. It could be the alternator belt or the alternator itself.

2005 Sedona fully charged, compressor does not turn on

Normally you would check for voltage at the relay then the low pressure switch, then the compressor clutch.
With the system charged or the low pressure switch bypassed you should have 12 volts at the clutch and ground. You can also check the clutch with an ohms meter to see if the magnet is open.

2005 Sedona A/C not cooling. fully charged, compressor turns

Could be a stuck heater control valve causing the heater core to stay hot or an air door not actuating.

Just bought a 2002 kia sedona in an auction. When we try to start it, it sounds like it wants to start but it will not turn over. I do not know anything about cars so I cannot offer any more information....

First look to see if the battery is the issue. If the car is not actually starting this may be the problem. With someone who has car experience, try to jump the battery. Otherwise, you can try getting it replaced.

How to move to neutral when the battery is dead

Nearly all modern cars with a column, console or floor-mounted shift knob are equiped with a shifter level lock release button. Look for a small hole or plastic plug, usually to the right side of the shift lever or on rare occassions above or below the shift knob. It should be just large enough to stick the ignition key into the hole and push on the release button. While holding the release button with one hand, have foot on the brake or parking brake set and gently bress the shift knob button and move to neutral. I spent two years working for ADT Automotive at Mid-America Auto Auction and out of over a quarter million automatic transmision cars I have seen, nearly all have this feature.

My 2003 KiA sedona, acts like the battary wants to die and then suddenly it starts, has been doing this for 3 days.

1st: Battery needs to be checked (no weak or dead cells) then fully charged.
2nd: If battery is good and fully charged, the problem could be excessive amp draw from the starter, a starter draw test would determine if the starter is drawing too much battery power.

My 2002 Kia Sedona is acting up

you could have a problem with the alternator, you will need a multimeter to test the battery then the battery with the engine running. HID lights ABS will not work at below 10 volts. the alternator may be charging but not at its full power, battery should be 12.05 volts fully charged and with alternator should make the voltage at the battery with engine running, should be at 14 volts. I don't think the radio would be the problem unless it has been wired wrong but that should not be the case if used original wiring. but if the alternator and battery is good then i would check the radio, it could be sorting out somewhere if not fitted correctly or has a fault.
