    Thanks! everyone for your inputs!

well! i tried to remove the bottom grey box with all the wiring (relay) ? that the noise comes from and all ignition power went dead? and it would not start the car?anymore untill i bolt it back.

So! i dont wanna create a spark and get more in deep "schnoots" that i`m already in.

my question is! is it safe to play around these boxes (relay) while battery still connected? i`m just affraid on getting a spark and fry something, just to be on the safe side!

Leave the boxes alone its one or two things could be the switch needs to be replaced clicking noise indicates it could be a switch .Or the window regulator has gone out I would definately try the switch first from a junk yard if not get a window regulator on order. Removing the door panel is quite simple. Examine door remove any visible and hidden screws and trim. Start at the bottom of door with a mini crow bar using the teeth force in the gaps or create one. to Find the door panel clips remove clips with your crow bar tool either by lifting up out of slot or pop out. Once off remove plastic lining. Remove old window regulator install new one. Set your glass and put the clips back if you break some spread the rest of the clips around evenly reinstall door panel..

I would suggest that it is one of those square grey boxes lol they are relays to find the right one i would just remove them one by one try the windows then replace relay take the next one out etc also check all the fuses in the fuse box hope this helps regards Jim

How to locate fuse for 2001 ford taurus drivers side power window

There isn't one. It has a circuit breaker. And the breaker supplies power to all the windows. So if the other windows work, you have a bad motor or regulator or switch.

I have a 1999 Ford Explorer XLT. The problem I'm having is that my Driver side window went down and now won't go back up. The wiring in the door was broken and I fixed that problem, all the other windows...

Take a test light to the motor connector and probe both wires and see if you have power on both sides. First press the botton up if power press down. if you have power than your window motor is bad or your elect repair is bad.leave comment.

2001 grand am gt windows not working

pull the door panels off and remove the plastic sound deadenning liner from the door. find the window motor and unplug the wire harness. check the voltage by ressing down as to open the window(you can do up too, same thing), and see if you get 12volts when you press the button. if so your motors are burned. if not you have power issues and need to check your fuses. start off with the fuses first.

yes this should work fine but you dont know how many times that window was up and down in the car you got the door from .. it might be just needing a new window regulator . or if you kept your old one if it wasnt damaged you could instal it and see. just an idea.. thanks Jerry
