Try a new transmission filter and fluid. A lot cheaper than a transmission and probably the problem

Dodge Ram 3500 skips from 1st to 3rd gear, had rebuild after still the same issue. Any advice?

Governor pressure controls the 1st and 2nd shifts. After that is the 3 and 4 solenoids. you would need to look at the pressure when driving(takes a scanner). pressure is 20 to 30 PSI from 1st to 2nd, depends on acceleration. After that the pressure will jump to 100+ psi. Did you replace the governor solenoid and sensor? They are on the passenger side of the transmission and sit in a block that detaches from the valve body.

92 dodge ram 150 not shifting

Two things happen on the Dodge's. 1. the rear O2 sensor shorts out and meses things up. 2. the Inner seal on the Direct drum (3rd) shrinks and causes a delayed up shift.

When did you last replace trans filter and fluid? Dirt may be causing shift valve to stick.

1994 dodge ram 1500 2wd wont shift out of 1st gear.reverse works

take bottom pan off clean out your pressure sensor .. tends to get mini metl flakes caught up in there wich is also a bad sign that your tranny is going out but this will buy you atleast another 2 to 3 months

On my 2000 dodge ram 1500 transmiton starts out in 1st will not shift in 2nd will jump in to 3rd when you get the speed up fast enough, or will start out in 3rd and goto OD fine

Hello,
problem is from the gear box. The gear box has developed a fault and that is why it
starts out in 1st will not shift in 2nd will jump in to 3rd . Also, have your gear oil check to be sure it is not short.
You need to take the Dodge to your mechanic before the problem gets worse. This is not a DIY (do it yourself) job.
If you don't take it to your mechanic on time, you might end up damaging the gear box which is expensive to replace. It is still repairable for now.

I hope the above is clear.

Regards.

1997 Dodge 1500 ram pickup 360 ci won't shift into 3rd gear

If the truck feels like it is taking off in second gear and will not shift into third then the transmission may be in fail safe or limp in mode. This is generally due to an electrical or control failure in the system. If it is slipping in first and not shifting into third or overdrive then you would have an internal issue. Either way, you are going to need professional diagnosis. If servicing has not helped then I would guess you need professional help on this one.
Sorry and good luck.

1999 dodge ram delayed and erratic shifting

ummm i would say you need to adjust your trans shift cable, check your fluid level, and the problem i had with my dodge was similar to yours... it was my 3rd-4th actuator spring, it had broke and couldnt hold the pressure to keep it in gear
