I had the same thing happen this morning. No check engine light, no engine noise at all. It started cutting out, and then nothing.

OH wow the same thing happened to me today. I turned out of a parking lot and the car went to acting like it was out of gas and then stalled. I have no hum of fuel pump engaging either. I bought a fuel pump and a fuel filter this afternoon, gonna put the filter on first later and see if that is what it is or not. Then try the pump. My car has run basically perfect before this, there was no warning or anything, it just stopped. It will turn over but will not crank. I sure hope it is the filter or pump.

Car stalls after about 20 minutes of driving. After sitting about an hour it will it start & run again for 20 .what could cause this

possibility fuel pump or relay overheating when stalls ---if you try to start with starter fluid and starts check the fuel pump relay for power and feel if hot if good than turn to on position not start and listen for fuel pump should hear a slight hum but check at fuel rail for pressure

Car stalled on highway, lost all power, than would not start up again

Fuel pump failed. Check fuel pump reset. Also check fuel pump relay and circuit fuses

2000 pontiac grand am stalls

The pump should run quietly. Do you hear a load hum while driving? When it stalls, with the key on and everything quiet in the car you should hear a faint hum when you turn just the key on ( not cranking the engine over ) this last only a few seconds. If you hear that. The pump is working you might have another problem. Let me know

What's your problem? 2000 Yukon XL Yukon died while driving down the highway like it ran out of fuel. Had 1/4 tank. No fuel pressure.

You'll need to check the circuit from the fuel pump relay back to the pump. The computer grounds the relay.
If the pump is running the filter could be clogged.

No fuel up to injecter pump truck just stalled

Did you check for fuel pressure on the line from the tank while you had the filter off? Do you hear your fuel pump prime when you turn the ignition on? First I would listen for the hum of the fuel pump when you turn the key to the run position (not starting the engine) May have to get a helper and listen at the gas filler neck with the cap off. If you dont hear your fuel pump, check your fuses and relays. If the relay clicks when your helper turns the key on ( put your finger on the relay and ear down close to feel/hear the relay actuate)., and fuse is good, yet you do not hear the pump prime, I would say your fuel pump is shot.

If it is a diesel, check for fuel pressure coming off the direct drive pump hose while cranking the motor.
