My fuse panel does not have a cover. My windows will not roll down and I need to know if I have a blown fuse but I do not know which fuse to check.

If you are missing the fuse cover that shows which fuse goes where then the best thing to do is remove each fuse (one by one) and look to see if the wires inside the fuse are connected..if you see black marks or broken connecters in the fuse then just replace it with a new one...another thing you can do is go to the local auto parts store and buy a $4.99 quick fuse tester/puller. Then you can test all of your fuses to figure out which one needs to be replaced.

My driver side window wont roll up

First check the fuses for both electric windows if they are good. The fuse box one is on the engine compartment driver side look for long retangular black box and open the fuse cover the cover should designate what the fuses and relay is for the other is on the driver side under the dashboard just above your left foot look under you should see another fuse box.If both fuses are good, then your going to have to check the window regulator which is inside each door.Open the door panel and check window regulator morethan likely the regulator assembly need to be change. You might just need the motor. The whole assembly is quite expensive.

One day out of the blue the power windows stopped rolling down and the a/c stopped blowing cold air! This seems like an electrical problem and I would appreciate any suggestions for a simple inexpensive...

Sounds as if you may have blown a fuse/ fuses. There are 2 fuse boxes, one located under the drivers side kick panel inside the vehicle (probably where the window fuse is) and one in the engine compartment close to the left fender. (looks like a rectangular black box, should say fuses or power distribution center on the cover). On the underside of the cover should be a diagram of what fuse position supplies power to which component(s). Window fuses are usually of the breaker type which appear to be small rectangular fuse with a metal cover, usually stamped 25 or 30 amp. Your A/C clutch fuse could have blown also, or you may just need your A/C system serviced (refrigerant added / recharged).

Please vote if this helps, let us know what you find.
Thanks, Mike

Driver side window doesn't roll down all the way

You are either having a issue with the window engine and need to replace it or your window is off it's track, either way you have to open the door panel to verify

Windows dont roll up and cant figure out which fuse to change

power windows are usually on the same circuit as the door locks. look on the legend on the fuse panel cover and it should tell you. probably a 10 or 15 amp fuse. if all else fails, pull one fuse at a time and check for a blown one, if you dont have a meter or test light.

Window problems/fuse

First of all I believe in the 3 series this procedure works. put the key in the door with the doors closed- turn key and hold it there while you watch the windows roll up automatically. If this does not work you probably have a fuse problem. If it does work then your window switch might just be bad. As to which fuse it is, just look for a blown fuse in the glove box. Apparently these fuse boxes on the 3 series are hard to read? on my sisters 325i it is under the hood and the cover has the information on the back

Possible window fuse blown?

if the fuse is blown none of the windows will work,it sound wierd but all the power to the window motors runs through the drivers side switch. the drivers side switch may be your culprit.to be sure check to see if you have power goin in to the other switches before you replace the drivers side switch.
