I just purchased a used 2006 Toyota Sequoia. It has 3 buttons on the upper control panel near the controls for the moon roof. They appear to be garage door opener controls that may be programmable. I could find nothing in the user manual that describes these buttons, nor did it provide instructions for same.

use the extension rod with jack set (as if will use the jack)... open the rear door, insert it all the way in the hole near by door lock (exactly infront of you facing the back opened!), then keep turning it anti clock wise.... good luck
You may find that this porcess is with your GARAGE DOOR opener and not the car. Rolling code technology units require that you press a button on your opener motor, (get a ladder and a light, get up there and read it, have an assistant in the car to press). what you do is press the button on the opener, to accept input signals, then you press the button in the car. Usually you get a flash on the opener's lights, then that sender (car) is accepted.
Turn the key to the "ON" position; do not start the vehicle.
Press on the button of the 3 available to you on the vehicle and hold it until advised to release it.
Take your garage door remote transmitter, and press the button that you use to make the garage door operate, hold it down until advised to release.
With the vehicle button being depressed, and the remote button depressed, hold the remote up against the area where the 3 buttons are located. It needs to touch the area wher the buttons are.
Keep moving the remote around slowly, back & forth, spin the remote, until the red light starts to blink slow.
After the light begins to blink slow, hold the remote in that exact position until the lamp blinks real fast.
Relase both buttons.
Repeat for a second remote on another button.
