You probably have a broken stop arm. Some folks say you must remove the dash and the heater box but you don't have to remove the dash. You can get to the broken part from underneath. I ordered a replacement aluminum blend door stop arm to repair the plastic one that breaks and it cleared all the heater problems and codes.
Usually it is just the stop arm that broke but sometimes after the stop arm breaks, the shaft can fracture also. In my case, it was just the stop arm.
I originally ordered the stop arm from SAABSite for the left side which I found had broken. It worked but I did have a little trouble getting the new part on. I think most of my difficulty was because the manufacturing of the part from SAABSite was not very good. The hole with the keyways was not round but was uneven and rough. It looked like someone didn't use the right tool to drill it but instead bored it out with too small of a drill bit. I've got a little experience in a machine shop and so I was really surprised/disappointed at this workmanship. I had to clean it up with my tools.
After doing all this, I decided to replace the right side stop arm as well as a precaution. I went on Ebay and found and ordered the same type of part... $32. The Ebay item price was much better due to cheaper shipping which was actually A LOT faster getting to me so a win-win all ways around. I was very happy to find the part from Ebay was much higher quality. That is the one I would recommend if you were to buy. However, I also noticed that the stepper motor shaft on my right side had slipped. At first I pushed it in too far because when I put the cover back on, it would stall... I found the other end of the shaft that pokes out the back was contacting the cover. I repositioned it again and had no further problems.

Usually the resister is mounted on the air box. You will see a small plate with four or five wires on it mounted to the side of the air box. the resisters are on the other side of the plate where the air flows past.

I dont have idea where air filter is?

Maybe, as on my1999 Saab 9-5 V6 3.0t SE sedan, it's behind the passenger's side front wing, before the wheel...Black plastic cover retained by 4 screws... fast and easy to do, all you need is a torx screwdriver...and to lift the car securely.

Hope it help, even if my english isn't terrible.

No heat on the drivers side

Hi,

I have the same problem with my 1999 Saab 95 SE. I have done some intensive research on the repair and I have come across a few websites with solutions and they ultimately point to the same one. Your HeaterBox blend door or stop arm is broken it diverts the heat to both sides of the compartment. I had a quick free fix from my dealer from them by setting my temp to HI on both sides. But that did not fix the original problem of having cold air blow on the drivers side no matter which selection your choose to have the air blow, may it be on the windshield, panel or floor, it still came out cold. It is fine on the passengers side, but the tech at the Saab dealership instructed me not to adjust the temperature settings on either side or it might break completely, I think their just trying to tack on $2000 dollars of repairs for something I can fix for $100-$200 or even less than that. You should be able to get the job done in 2-3 hours providing nothing else is broken besides the blend door arm and/or stop arm in your heaterbox. Here is the link I found that will help you fix the problem. Hope it helps and keeps you warm, just be glad you have heated seats for now, without it I think I'd freeze to death in this Michigan weather, lol.

Illustrated Fix

Good Luck and Best Regards,
