There really are only a few possibilities. With a fiberglass body you should have 2 wires to the fan. There are variable speeds for the fan and air, vent,or heat options for the rest. If the fan gets power with the A/C off, heat off, vent off...then you have direct power coming from another source.
Someone could have miswired an alarm, stereo, or ignition switch or any add- on equipment.

You could try a library for auto manuals. I have found illustrated wiring diagrams in large books specific for wiring alone. But that will not help you much for add-on items. Most cars have manuals which will show you the fuses and position. You can try removing one at a time and reinserting the fuse until you find the source that cuts power.

Most fans are designed to operate even when engine is off to cool it. Although this seams like an easy solution you might watch engine temp when operating and see if there is a problem with cooling system,"thermostat, water pump, radiator clogged with debrisor just low on coolant',these are the general causes there are more that require proper tools and diagnostic tests. If fan runs for short while and shuts off these answers will help, but if you find that it just stays on without stopping the relay that is probably stuck in run position should be located in engine compartment and parts place can tell you wich one it is

Where is the blower motor relay located on a 1991 corvette ????

I believe the blower motor relay can be found to the rear of the engine compartment on the inner fender. There may be a series of relays at this location based on model and accessories.

Location of heater relay on 2003 ford focus.

There is no relay, according to my info. At the blower motor, green wire is voltage, fuse protected, goes hot with key on. Black wire is ground. The blower speed control switch is part of ground circuit. There are resistors for the lower speeds. Hi speed doesn't use a resistor. If you have good voltage and ground at blower motor and no blower action, suspect the blower motor. Any motor that uses brushes, sometimes you can tap on suspect motor, and it will run intermittently. Sign of bad brushes.
You may be able to use jumper wires to blower motor connector for voltage and ground, from the battery, just to see if blower motor will run? If it won't run, suspect blower motor. If you use jumpers, use an inline fuse, just in case.

Where's the blower motor relay located

Most relays are in the Powerbox. A diagram can be generated with using the vehicle, year, and model with the key word "blower motor relay".

You may be needing a "blower motor resistor" which is usually on the firewall and inside the ductwork. It is a small part the size of a cigarette pack, having 2 bolts and 1 wire connector. See specific Web search for your vehicle and use the blower motor resistor as a subject.

Blower motor runs all time

Either the blower motor relay is stuck closed and running all the time.Relay should be under the hood. Look in the owners manual for the location. Also does it shut off with key or continue to run, Most likely a stuck blower motor relay.

The blower motor would not shut off while the keys are in my hand and truck is not running now front blower motor will not come on.

I would strongly suspect your blower motor relay is bad, your blower relay gets power to close the coil (within the relay ) from a key power source, which should be off when the key is off, it is possible for the relay to stick and provide power to the blower with the key off, and now the defective relay will not allow the power to the blower as designed.replace your blower relay and I am sure you"ll be back in good shape. your blower relay is located in the small relay box under the dash in the center and really kinda a bear cat to get to.thanks for using fixya

1991 Olds 98 Elite heater blower motor continues to run with key off. Will change speeds with controls but will NOT shut off..

if you haven't got your blower fan fixed yet, im sure it to be the same as mine, the blower motor relay which is out on the firewall under the big fuse block. take plastic cover off over the fuses and move the fuse block out of the way and you will see it staight under that. should be two screws holding it on.

Blower motor continues to run when vehicle is off

Your problem is the Relay which is encased inside the Heater/AC Resistor Module. This is a very common problem with GMC and Chevy Trucks. The Relay's return spring fails and the relay is held closed by gravity. The only fix is to replace the Resistor Module. I have a 2004 Silverado and have replaced the Module 3 times and the Blower Motor twice. The Orange wire feeding the Module is always Hot (12V) and feeds the Relay Contact for Highest Blower Speed. Hence the Blower runs all the time even with the Key off and removed.
