Question about 1985 Ford Thunderbird
Ok heres the problem i finally got the car running after it has been sitting for 5 years.new fuel pump.now its kinda ticking and has low oil pressure.was going to change and put new filter and do oil treatment to it and see if it improves.but any suggestions.it has been sitting long time.sounded very nice at first.very nice.hopefully it is not the oil pump.i belive it has a 351c in it
Probably 302 (5.0L) if not 3.8L v-6.
Anyway, fresh oil & new filter is a good place to start, then a little running down the highway may help loosen things up a bit. You can try adding a bottle of lucas, or similar, but personally I don't use that stuff. After sitting that long, oil will be pretty contaminated, so do that first, then I'd do it again after putting some miles on it.
