HELLO I HAVE A FEW POSTS ON THIS LINCOLN LS 2002 3.9, IT HAD AN ENGINE LITE ON P1237 FUEL CIRCUT BUT IT DID RUN GOOD I GOT THIS CAR DROVE IT AROUND FOR A WEEK OR TWO THEN THE FIRST PROBLEM THE AC CUT OUT. THEN A BIT OF A DRIVABILITY ISSUE 40-45 MISS OR HESITATION. IT GOT WORSE TO WHERE IT JUST WOULD NOT RUN HARDLY AT ALL THEN IT BLEW THE FUSE FOR THE FUEL PUMP. SO I REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP, STARTED THE CAR RAN FOR 30 SECONDS THEN BLEW THE FUEL PUMP FUSE, PUT ANOTHER ONE IN, BLEW IT. I TOOK THE FUEL PUMP HARNESS OFF AT BOTH PUMPS PUT A FUSE IN TURNED THE KEY TO THE ON POSITION AND THE FUEL PUMP BLOWS RIGHT AWAY. ALSO IN THE SAME FUSE BOX IN THE TRUNK THE PASSANGER SEAT IS INOP FUSE BLOWN AS SOON AS I PUT ONE IN IT BLOWS THE SEAT IS REMOVED FROM THE CAR AND FUSE STILL BLOWS. I DO NOT KNOW IF THESE TWO PROBLEMS ARE RELATED OR NOT. I HAVE A FORD WIRING BOOK COMING BUT I THOUGHT I WOULD THROW THIS OUT THERE. AIR BAGS AT SOME POINT WERE DEPLOYED I HAVE ALL THE PARTS COMING TO FIX IT I DO NOT KNOW IF THIS HAS SOMTHING TO DO WITH IT.

Error Code P1237 takes place when the FPDM has determined a problem in the fuel pump secondary circuit. The FPDM indicates to the PCM (powertrain control module, also known as ECM or engine control module in other vehicles makes) through the FPM (fuel pump monitor) circuit to highlight the detected concern.
most cars have a pump some place near the gas tank if not inside near the gas pickup but that requires dropping the tank from the car if not follow the leads around where the fuel line is and the pump should be there on the side wall of the car in most cases
have you changed fuel filter? and did car run correctly after pump change(good milage and accelleration?) if not you catalyic converter could be plugged/melted
You have two pumps,I guess you know that ,if you already did one. Did you check fuel pressure at the rail and check out the electronic pressure regulator? What codes are coming up and do they stay set?
