How do I remove the fuse cover? There are slots at top and bottom of fuse box---should I use a flat screwdriver to insert into the slots to release the tabs?

Using a flat screw driver in the slot and then pulling on the top tab will work or just pull on the very top. There is a top outside tab that if you pull it will open.,

On the '95 the fuse box is under the hood, back of engine compartment, back far rt. (looking from the front of the car) corner. There is a black plastic cover with three plastic tabs (if I remember correctly) you pull out gently to remove the cover.

How to change cabin filter 2011 Lacrosse

I just changed mine yesterday and these tips listed above were unfortunately incorrect.

Step 1 - Open the passenger door
There is a panel that has no screws on the flatside of the dashboard which faces against the closed door at the jam side. Use a body tool and pry the panel carefully exposing the inside area of the glovebox. If possible dont do this in cold weather because the tabs are plastic. Inside the panel you will see one small tab that the glove box has a 1/4 plastic clip seated in the tab.

Step 2 - Open the glove box. Remove the 3 hex screws on the top interior row of the glove box.

Step 3 - At the right and left corners of the bottom of the glove box remove the two front facing screws on the lower hinge.

Step 4- At the very bottom parallel to the floor there are two more hex screws remove those (they hold the plastic vent in place underneath the glove box. Pull the vent downward to release the tabs.
IMPORTANT: Dont forget to go back to step 1 and pull the small tab from the slot in the dashboard cover area ( Inside the panel you will see one small tab that the glove box has a 1/4 plastic clip seated in the tab)

Step 5 - Pull down on the glove box to release the clips.

Step 6 - You will see a black box inside. There are three tabs (right, top, and left) pull them individually to remove the front facing cover. Inside you will see the air filter. Remove and have airflow arrow pointed downward.

Reverse steps to reinstall. Be sure to line up the clips before pressing them back in place. Do not force them!

Good luck. I hope this helps. I did mine on the first attempt with no issues in about 10 minutes (I'm not a mechanic).

How do I change the cabin air filter in my 2009 Nissan Maxima?

If you are quite comfortable working on cars you can do this. The in cabin air filter is accessed through the glove box opening after removal of the glove box.
There is a small panel covering the right hand side of the glove box which will pop off if you pry lightly with a standard screwdriver
Then there are eight philips head screws which must be removed. Three are at the bottom of the glove box, three more are inside on the top and two are located inside at the rear top of the glove box. Once these are removed and the glove box is pulled out the filter is accessible, but not very easily seen.
It is located on the far left side and covered by a black plastic cover. You can reach in and push up lightly on the plastic cover removing it.
The opening is smaller than the filter and that makes removal and replacement difficult, but the filter is flexible and the pull tab can be used to extract the old filter. The new one can be squeezed and pushed into place with the air direction arrow towards you (the same orientation as the one removed). Replace the plastic cover and reinstall the glovebox by installing the eight screws and the side cover. Thanks for choosing Fixya,
RJ

Change cabin airfilter 2006 Murano

takes about 10 minutes tops and no tools are needed. Slide 2 plastic hinge pins out from bottom of glove box door, pivot the door aside, pop the 3 plastic hook tabs off the bottom of the (white plastic) filter cover, pull the old filter out, and (carefully) slide the new filter in. Replace the filter cover and glove box door hinge pins and you are done.

Arrows should face down.

Where is the master computer located

The computer (or PCM) is just below the glove box. There is a panel with just two small screws that cover the area from bottom of glove box door and goes to back of fire wall.(if sitting in passanger seat your your feet would kick this pannel if you just lifted them. Anyway the panel is black, remove the two screws and drop panel down and just leave it in place, The ECU comes out real lly easily (no mounting screws.) there are three large plugs (color coded) blue, red, and white. There are plastic locking tabs on each plug, just pinch the front and back the tabs and pull down on each. The only thing that holds the PCM are two white plastic tabs, one on each side of the PCM. Pull toward you while pushing out on tabs and the PCM just pull down and out. But before removing PCM make sure to disconnect battery or pull the large 20 fuse for the PCM.

I hope this helps! :)

Power outlets dont work

I just purchased a 2002 Envoy and had the same problem. If you raise the drivers's side rear seat, you will see a big black box. Remove this box by pulling the bottom of the box outward and it will come straight up. Next you will see a black cover. This cover has a push tab on each end. Push
the tabs at the same time and lift up on the cover and it can be removed. Inside the cover there is a fuse diagram. The fuse number for my 2002 was #46. This fuse controls the front plugs and #15 controls the back plugs. Locate the the fuse puller on the top left, then count over to spare fuse #3. Between #3 and #4 the fuse is located about 1 1/2 inches below those fuses. You will see a yellow 20 amp pin fuse (BP/ATM-20RP AUTOZONE). remove and check fuse.

Good luck

Rick
