That function is normal to show you the curb, but it should go back to where it was. You might push on the glass to adjust it as i might have been moved when it was washed or elbowed in a parking lot.

2006 bmw 325 ci mirrors not working correctly, drivers mirror not working at all, passenger mirror points down when in reverse and then returns but will adjust,

The passenger mirror system is designed to point down when reversing- if the mirror adjust switch is to the driver side. If you don't wish to have it do this, keep the adjust selector switch pointed to the passenger side. If that switch is malfunctioning it could also explain why you cannot adjust the driver's mirror.

Why a cadillac won,t go into reverse ,but drives good going forward

Either the linkage needs adjustment, or the reverse gear is gone.

To tell if it is the linkage, look at the letters and see if the shift arrow matches up P,R,N,D,2,1

If the arrow is off and doesn't point at right letter, you should adjust the cable that goes from shifter to tranny. Follow the cable and there will be an aduster on it. Turn to right to tighten and left to loosen.

Hi geofitzpat,
I need a little more info.
Do the switches on the passenger side work?
Are the windows and door locks both inoperative ? How about a electric mirror control?
Did the switch get wet ( as in rained on ) ?
Is everything else OK?, starts good, headlights are bright? Let me know.
Regards, P.
