    It is not a fuse, most likely the headlight problem is the switch.

My 1990 Dodge Shadow wipers work, but I have to operate them by putting the fuse in and out. So if I don't need them I have to remove the fuse. What causes this?

Sounds like the park switch inside the wiper motor is faulty. The switch should cut power when the wipers "park".

I have a 1992 dodge shadow.but the windshield wipers isn't working.I checked the motor is well,the terminal voltage is 12V,how can I continu to repair the 1992 dodge shadow's windshield wipers?

You posting is slightly confusing but I gather your windshield wipers stopped working.
The repair method is as follows;
) Check the fuse.
) Check the wiper motor. Turn the wipers on and listen for the hum of the motor.

If you hear the hum then the linkage has probably come loose. You will have to take the covers off
to get to the linkage for the wiper. You can either repair the parts, get salvage yard parts or replace with new part$.

If you do not hear the motor hum then you should verify electricity is getting to the motor. A simple
voltmeter can be used. If the motor is bad you can replace it. Call some auto supply stores for after-market motors or call salvage yards for parts.

According to the Service Repair Manual (TP 31486/1, Section 3 [35-38], Lighting, Instrumentation and other electrical equipment dated April 1990) for a 1990 240 DL, the fuse that controls the windshield wipers and horn is Number 2 (second from top) and is a 16 amp fuse.
