Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

SOURCE: 1995 Ford vdan rear passenger door won't open (unlocked).

I just delt with this situation myself. I don't know if this is the same solution, but I had the same problem. If you take the panel off the door, you can probably push the rod that opens the door by hand. it's likely the handle isn't engaging the rod enough to open it. if that's true, just pop out the plastic bushing and screw it out (toward the front of the vehicle). Also, you probably want to lube up the latching mechanism. I had to actually cut a hole in the door to get mine to open (had sat for a couple of years). These handles just need adjusted after awhile.

Door ajar light on, 1996 aerostar, where are the sensors located?

the door ajar sensor is located on the door latch assembly, u must detrim the door and then remove the rear most window guide rail, it twists into the latch at rear of latch, it is very small and a real pain to change.

How to replace front wheel bearing on a 1996 ford aerostar

You knock the seal and races out with a drift. You put the new races and seals in by using something round, like a socket, to drive them in. Of course, the experts will say you must have special seal drivers and bearing race drivers, but I've been fixing my Fords for 40 years and I have done several of these with what I had laying around.
