Question about 2000 Jeep Cherokee

My blower only works on setting 123 + air con not that cold

I bought a 2004 jeep cherokee a yearand a half ago. The air con and blower worked fine initially. We moved to the south of france and shortly after my fan stopped working on setting 1 then a month later it stopped on setting 2 and eventually last month setting 3. Last year the Air con was working fine very cold but obviously not on setting 12+3 however now its kind of mild not cold.! Could any one help me out. thank you

You have a resistor array assembly going out. What you described is typical of the first resistor going out and over loading the second, which goes out and overloads the third. Replace the HVAC resistor array. Don't buy a used one. Spend the extra money on the new OEM dealer item. Good luck to you.

2003 jeep grand cherokee heater problem

Jeep Grand Cherokee is notorious for broken blend-air doors. This is the door inside the A/C-heater housing that switches the air from hot to cold. You must remove the dash to repair it.

Check if the system is charged with gas. Check if the compressor is working. Check if the damper motors inside are working

How do I replace blower motor in a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee? It works, it makes a loud squeal when it's running.

Sounds like the bearings are going bad in it. It's very simple to replace. There are three torx screws that hold it into place. Move the passenger side seat all the way back and put your head under the dash behind the glovebox. You should be able to see the three screws. Remove the screws, unplug the wiring harness to the motor, and give the blower motor a twist and it should come right out. I did this same replacement with a blower motor I got off of ebay a month ago. It's an easy fix taking between a half hour and an hour. Good luck

I have a 2002 Cherokee Jeep CRD. When I turn on the heating, I have to turn it round to the highest level 4 to make it work. 123 do not work. do I have to buy a new unit

I am guessing that you are referring to the blower motor not moving air till the highest setting? If that's the case, there is a blower motor resistor part that handles voltage for all lower speeds. You can usually change this part without too much trouble. They're usually priced very reasonable from the dealer. Once you have it in your hand, you can look for it screwed into the heater case.

2003 Jeep Cherokee (Liberty) air con

You most likely have a problem with a part called the air temperature control blend door, it controls the air flow across the AC core or heater core, it is most likely warped or the motor that operates it is defective or in most cases both are in need of replacing. This repair requires the entire dash be removed to access the AC parts.

Check all fuses. If o/k check for 12 volts at the blower motor. If no power at blower the system has to be traced to find where the power quits. Hope this heps.

Heat/ac not working on 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited

look for Main A/C relay, look for fuses, or go to a/c shop and have gas check out, perhaps leaks, perhaps evaporator, perhaps condenser, but start for relay box on front passengers side, or fuses on same side

A/C only works on high. 1998 Jeep Cherokee.

replace the blower motor resistor. the resistor burns out on the low settings and the only speed left is high because it can handle more current. i have replaced hundreds. i do at least 10-15 a week
