I think if the self adjusters are working properly you should be able to push the parking brake pedal (e-brake) to the floor once and release pedal. .

After taking ff the ruber pad i plae my brake spoon into adjust and i can't see or feel the adjuster wheel.


I think if the self adjusters are working properly you should be able to push the parking brake pedal (e-brake) to the floor once and release pedal to adjust the rear brakes.

if it has rear drum brakes then yes the adjustment would be made by adjusting the shoes out tighter to the drum

Changed the pads on my 04 Kia Sedona. Even though they are new my pedal goes to the floor when I go to stop. I think I need to adjust my rear brakes but not certain. How do I check and see if the auto...


You will have to turn the drum,and adjust accordingly,adjust them little by little,until the drum drags on the brake shoes,adjust them until they drag,but you can still turn the drum by hand,you might want to remove the drum first,just to make sure the brake shoes are not too worn,and need replacing.If this was a t all helpful,please rate,thank you.

dont think they are drums ,but disks and calipers have look to see what they are as models can and do vary with our europeon models

have the rear brakes adjusted. you shouldnt have a cable issue. have the rears drum brakes inspected and adjust accordingly.

How do you adjust the rear brakes on a 05 kia spectra5 ? It has disc brake front and rear.


Disc brakes are not adjustable. You may have a parking brake that is like a mini- brake shoe in the middle of the rear rotor. Those are adjustable, but tough to get at, and they rust badly. Look to see if your "cable" goes either to an arm that actuates the shoes, or if it goes to the caliper. If it goes to the caliper, you have no parking brake shoes.

its never adjusts automatically ,u have to put a screw driver in the opening made for adjustment in the back of the wheel protection plate u have to use the driver as prybar to move a disk for 1 or more tooth as needed.
