Headgasket is blown between those 2 cylinders. Do a compression check on all cylinders probably between 150 - 180 lbs in good condition. Adjacent cylinders will be nil. If there is some pressure, say 50 lbs, check the valve clearances on all cylinders.

good engine condition 155 lbs/sq inch to 165 lbs/sq inch( dry)

Do you have to compress the wheel bearings

Are you talking about preload? if they are separate, grease-able, and really packed with grease(no skimping). Yes. Ido not know the ft-lbs preload rating off hand, but that can be found in a Chilton/Hanes Manual

Low compression, cylndr 8 miss fire good spark good coil good fuel good injector what next bad compression

hello there
i cannot read out what is the problem..it happed in instance or was there longer period of time problem?
Anyway try to do leak-down test ,at least you would know where is the compresion leaking.
Exhaust-intake or through the piston rings?
My recommendation is to use the right(leak-down) tool to do this..

What is the "Cylinder compresion" on a Jetta TDi 2000 engine? Everybody talks about 155 lbs/ft @ 1900 rpm but I need to know in terms of "Bars" or "PSI" per cylinder.

Hello gilvega69: My name is Roger and I will help you.Depending on your compression Gage.it should read bars or psi.The compression should be 10 to 13 bars (145 psi to 189 psi.) With no more then (3 bars or 43 psi.) maximum difference between cylinders.Should you need further help please just ask. Please rate your answer. This way I know it was useful. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger

Car not starting right

My first thought is low compression, run a compression test and see what the values are, if they are below 75 lbs. then you probably have lower end problems, if they are all above 100 lbs and one or two are at less than 80 lbs, you probably have a cylinder head/valve problem. Hope this helps, let me know.

Engine overheated & shut down i let it cool down for 12 hrs. bled fuel system added water installed new coil engine turns over freely but no fire on 3 cylinders?

The fact that it needed water and you know have you no fire on a cylinder means you prabably blew a head gasket. Does it blow out steam when you start it from cold now. You will need to check compression on all cylinders and do a chemical block test for fuel in the coolant first in order to rule this out or in.

Have you looked at the condition of the spark plugs as they are a good indicator of wether the engine is burning it compared to what you can see while driving. It has to be burnt if not leaking.Do a compression test while the plugs are removed and write down on a piece of paper the compression you get from each cylinder. If around the 140 and lower expect to use the amount your saying. It could also be leaking down the valve guide seals and being burnt off or maybe its a bit of bothA compression tester is a cheap item to buy at any auto shop
