Check the cap and rotor sounds like it is breaking down under a load also get a spray bottle and spray water around the cap and wires, especially around the coil watch for any sparks this will tell you if you have a high voltage leak. hope this helps if not get back to me and we'll test some other things. please rate my fix as i strive for the best Thanks Ray

If I have a coil to my cylinder go bad on my 99 nissan maxima what does that mean?

if you have a coil for each cylinder,or coil pack and one is going bad, the engine will only be running on 5 cylinders at times instead of 6.which will cause it to miss and cut out under a load( going up hill, fast take off, ect.) you will notice a change in the performance of the car...now if you only have one coil and its bad, the car will not start.... yz-maniac

Enigine shaking and rough take off

If the plug wires were off there's a good chance that you have fouled a spark plug or two causing the engine to misfire making it shake. It sounds like a good tune-up might be in order.

I have a 1995 maxima with hickup or hesitation

It sounds like a clogged catalytic converter. If you can unbolt it; try unbolted it and see how it runs. Also try unplugging the sparkplug wire one at a time and see if the shaking gets worse or stays the same. When you pull a spark plug wire and the car stops shaking then that cylinder isn't firing. Watch out though, you'll get a nasty shock if you do it without insulated pliers. It could be a stuck valve or bad ignition.

1993 Ford Tuarus Gl IN NEED OF HELP!

Well this could be in your timing. As cars get some miles on them the timing chain stretches therefore causing you car to lose alot of power. So you may want to have your timing set on this car. Also I had a taurus that had a bad torque converter, and it lost alot of power on hills and under loads, also when i gunned the gas pedal. so try the timing first. Hopefully you dont have a bad head gasket or a cracked head these symptoms you are describing are all signs of head gaskets or blown heads
