Question about 1986 Ford Econoline
This Van has been sitting for 10 years / I ran the engine every 3 months and more in the winter for the first 4 to 5 years. 2 years ago was the last time it ran.
I just drained all the old gas and changes the filter. I'm not getting fuel to the filter housing from the tank mounted on the frame under the drivers seat side. I can hear a pump come on for 1 to 3 sec just before the motor turns. i disconnected the hose to see if gas would come out, but none. The pump that goes on and off is right in line and right after the fuel filter. From there it lines go to the top of the manifold.
Is there another pump in the tank?
There is another pump in the tank, it is callled the low pressure lift pump.
